Cleaning Performance
The Freo X Ultra's 8,200 Pa suction is competitive for everyday vacuuming. It handles hardwood and tile beautifully, though pet hair pickup on carpet is slightly behind the Roborock and Dreame. It's genuinely a vacuum-mop hybrid but with the emphasis firmly on the mopping side.
Mopping Performance
The triangular mop design is Narwal's secret weapon. It reaches corners while the robot moves in its normal circular pattern. The continuous auto-wash keeps the mop pad at cleaning temperature throughout — we measured 94% stain removal on our dried-coffee test, comparable to the Dreame X40.
Base Station & Autonomy
