VacuumVerdict is an independent robot vacuum review site. Every score is built from spec sheets, lab measurements, trusted hands-on reviews, and long-term owner reports — one rubric, applied identically to every robot.
01 · Methodology
How we evaluate
Every robot gets the same evaluation before it earns a place in the ranking. For each machine, we work through:
- Full manufacturer spec sheets — suction, battery, base station, sensors — verified against manuals and support documentation
- Published third-party lab measurements of pickup, noise, and battery life
- Hands-on reviews from independent testers with an established track record
- Long-term owner reports: reliability, brush tangling, and app stability months after launch
- Firmware update history and how each robot's behavior changes over time
- App-store ratings and recurring complaint patterns
- Real street prices tracked over time, so value scores reflect what you actually pay
02 · Scoring
Our scoring system
We score each robot across nine dimensions on a 0–10 scale. The overall score is a weighted average, with suction, navigation, and value given the highest weights.
03 · Independence
Editorial independence & how we make money
VacuumVerdict is a free, independent comparison and information site. We participate in the affiliate programs of many of the brands featured here — including Dreame, Narwal, Shark, and others — and may earn a commission when you click through and complete a purchase, at no extra cost to you. We may also review products we have no commercial relationship with.
Compensation doesn't buy a good review. We give critical reviews to products whose makers compensate us, and positive reviews to those who don't — based solely on the evidence. Our model depends on reader trust: if we recommend bad products, we lose our audience.
We never accept payment for reviews, sponsored content, or “featured” placements. While affiliate commissions and our methodology can influence where products appear in our rankings and comparison tables, the scores themselves reflect our independent analysis.
